Before using outer adjuster (11), loosen the four bolts (13) on the outer end of the plate assembly.
Use outer adjuster (11) in order to align the outer portion of the extender plate flat with the inner portion and contacting the straightedge.Turn the adjuster nut clockwise in order to move the outer portion of the extender plate down. Turn the adjuster nut counter-clockwise in order to move the outer portion of the extender plate up.
Tighten the four bolts (13) on the outer end of the plate assembly.

Check the extender plate in relation to the extender end plate. The extender plate must be slightly below the extender end plate.It may be necessary to return to the inner adjusters in order to increase or decrease the distance from the bottom of the extender plate to the bottom of the extender plate frame. If readjustment of the inner adjusters is necessary, then repeat the process to align the outer portion of the extender plate.
While the extenders are extended, check and adjust the strike-off plate. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Deflector Plate Adjustment (Strike-Off)" for more information.
Retract the extenders.

Ensure the angle of attack of the extender plate is either flat or positive. Use the extender angle of attack adjusting nut in order to adjust the angle of attack.

Place a long straight edge on outer edge of main screed so the straight edge protrudes under the outer edge of the extender.Be sure to hold the straight edge flat against the bottom of the main screed.Using the extender power height switch or manual height adjuster, raise or lower the extender until the screed bottom just touches straight edge.

Place the straight edge in the center area of the main screed so the straight edge protrudes under the inner edge of the extender.The inside edge of the extender has a beveled edge. The straight edge should not be placed under the beveled area.Use the extender power slope switch or manual slope adjustment to move the screed extender until the screed bottom just touches straight edge.
Move the straight edge back to the outer position and recheck the relationship. If necessary, use the extender height control switch again to adjust the extender so the trailing edge of the extender plate is level with the leading edge of the main screed plate.Then move the straight edge back to the inner position and recheck the relationship. If necessary, use the extender power slope switch or manual slope adjustment again in order to adjust the extender. The trailing edge of the extender plate must be level with the leading edge of the main screed plate.Repeat this procedure until the trailing edge of the extender plate is level with the leading edge of the main screed plate for both the inner and outer positions.
Return slope stop bolt (4) back to position and tighten jam nut (3) .
