Information:
1. Drain the hydraulic oil until it is below the level of the indicator on the hydraulic tank. Disconnect inlet hose assembly (1) from the pump. Disconnect outlet hose (2) from the pump. 2. Remove two bolts (3) that hold pump and remove pump (4) from the pump drive.Install Pilot System Pump
1. Make sure the splines on the coupling are clean before the pump is put into the position on the pump drive. 2. Put pump (1) into position in the pump drive. Install bolts that hold it. 3. Connect the inlet hose assembly (2) and outlet hose assembly (3).4. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil to the correct level.Disassemble Pilot System Pump
start by:a) remove pilot system pump 1. Remove snap ring (1) with tool (A). Remove coupling (2). 2. Put clean grease on splines of drive gear to prevent damage to lip type seal in the flange when the flange is removed. Remove eight bolts (3) that hold flange (4) to the pump and remove flange (4). Remove three O-ring seals from the flange. 3. Remove snap ring (5) with tool (B) from the flange. Remove lip type seal (6) if damaged. 4. Remove back-up rings (7) and O-ring seals (8) from the gears in the pump. 5. Pull up on drive gear (9) and remove bushings (10) from the pump. Put a mark on bushing for correct installation. 6. Remove drive gear (9) and idler gear (11) from the pump housing. 7. Remove lower bushings (12) from the pump housing. Remove seals from the bushings. 8. Make a separation of the bushings. Remove dowel (14). Remove pins (13) from the bearing blocks. Turn the bearing blocks over and ball bearings will fall out.Assemble Pilot System Pump
1. Thoroughly clean all parts. See DIAGNOSING TYRONE GEAR PUMP FAILURES FORM NO. FEG 45137. 2. Install dowel (3) into bushing. Install ball (2) and a roll pin (1) in bushing. Put a small amount of 1P808 General Purpose Grease in the holes for the spring pins. The grease will keep the pins in position.3. Do Step 2 for upper set of bushings also. 4. Install O-ring seal (4) and back-up ring (6) on bushings (5). Put clean oil in the bores and install bushings (5). 5. Install idler gear (7) and drive gear (8) into the pump housing. 6. Install O-ring seals (10) and back-up rings (9) on the bushings. Install bushings (11) into the pump housing. 7. Install the lip type seal in flange (12) with tooling (A). The lip of the seal must be toward the inside of the pump. Install the lip type seal to a depth that is even with the snap ring groove. 8. Install snap ring (13) in flange (12) with tool (B). 9. Put clean grease on the splines of the drive gear to prevent damage to seal when it is installed. Install O-rings (15) on the pump housing. Install O-ring seal (14) on flange (12) and install the flange. Install the eight
