Remove cover assembly (AJ) by removing three existing screws (AG) and one existing screw (AH).

Installing inlet duct (1)
Insert the cut inlet duct through the modified cover.Note: Inlet duct (1) sets down in the A/C cover.

Set duct height to the dimension shown in Illustration 11.

(7) 208-8469 Locknut
Mount fabricated bracket (4) to top of inlet duct (1) with hardware listed and shown in Illustration 13.Tighten screws (6) to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).
Push the bracket against the cover. Then use hole in bracket to locate and drill an 8 mm (0.315 inch) hole in plastic.

Use hardware shown to mount fabricated bracket (4) to the cover as shown in Illustrations 12 and 13.Tighten screws (6) to 6 1 N m (53 9 lb in).Note: Additional torque maybe required to overcome the Nylock resistance. However, do not over tighten the hardware.

(AL) Area to apply silicone sealant (3)
Prepare area (AL) by cleaning the area with an alcohol wipe.
Apply Loctite 593 high temperature silicone to inlet duct (1) completely around the base of the duct at area (AL) shown in Illustration 14.

Cut three pieces of foam seal (2) at 600 mm (23.6 inch) of length each.Stack the seals together and attach the adhesive side on cab wall as shown in Illustration 15.Note: Prepare area by cleaning the area with an alcohol wipe before applying the seal.

(2) 294-3154 Seal
Cut one piece of foam seal (2) at 60 mm (2.4 inch) of length.Install seal (2) flush with edge as shown in Illustration 16.Note: Prepare area by cleaning the area with an alcohol wipe before applying the seal.Completed Duct Work
