CASE AS 3644383 - Caterpillar

Start By:
Remove the bucket positioner control. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bucket Positioner Control - Remove and Install".

Remove bolt (1) , the washer, and the spacer from pin assembly (2) .

Fasten a hoist to tilt cylinder (3) , as shown.
Fasten a hoist to Tooling (A) . Put Tooling (A) in position on the pin assembly, as shown. Remove pin assembly (2) .

Start the machine. Retract the cylinder rod. Lower the tilt cylinder (3) on the front loader frame, as shown.

Remove bolt (4) , the washer, and the spacer from pin assembly (5) .

Fasten a hoist to tilt link (6) . Fasten a hoist to Tooling (A) . Install Tooling (A) on pin assembly (5) . Remove pin assembly (5) . Lower tilt link (6) to the floor.

Remove bolt (7) , the washer, and the spacer from pin assembly (8) .

Fasten a hoist to Tooling (B) . Install Tooling (B) on pin assembly (8) . Remove pin assembly (8) . The weight of the pin assembly is 27 kg (60 lb).

Remove tilt lever (9) and the tilt link as a unit. The combined weight of tilt lever (9) and the tilt link is 352 kg (775 lb).

Remove bolt (10) , the washer, and the spacer from pin assembly (11) .

Fasten a hoist to Tooling (A) . Install Tooling (A) on pin assembly (11) . Remove the pin assembly. Remove tilt link (12) . The weight of the tilt link is 57 kg (125 lb).

Remove four lip seals (13) from tilt link (12) .

Install Tooling (C) on the tilt link, as shown. Remove the sleeve bearing from each end of the tilt link.

Remove lip seals (14) from the tilt lever.

Use Tooling (D) to remove the sleeve bearing from the tilt lever.
