Improper attachment of work tools could result in injury or death.Do not operate this machine until you have positive indication that the coupler pins are fully engaged. Check for engagement by:1. Tilt the work tool down.2. Put down pressure on the work tool.3. Back the machine up and make sure there is not any movement between the work tool and the quick coupler assembly.

This decal illustrates the operation of the work tool coupler. This decal is located on the inside of the cab on the right side rear pillar.Securing the Work Tool
Position the work tool on a level surface.
Tilt the work tool coupler forward.

Align the work tool coupler (1) with the bosses (2) of the work tool. Move the work tool coupler under the bosses and rack back the work tool.Note: Make sure that the coupler pins are fully retracted before you align the work tool coupler with the bosses of the work tool.

Press the bottom of the quick coupler switch. This will engage the coupler pins.
If the work tool is equipped with auxiliary hydraulic lines, perform the following procedure.
Stop the engine.
Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position.
Move the multipurpose control back and forth in order to relieve hydraulic pressure within the auxiliary hydraulic lines.
Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position.
Connect the auxiliary hydraulic lines for the work tool.Releasing the Work Tool
Disengaging the coupler pins will release the work tool from control of the operator.Serious injury or death may result from disengaging the work tool when it is in an unstable position or carrying a load.Place the work tool in a safe position before disengaging the coupler pins.
Note: Auxiliary hoses for work tools must be removed before the quick coupler is disengaged. Pulling the work tool with the auxiliary hoses could result in damage to the host machine or the work tool.
Level the work tool on the ground.
If the work tool is equipped with auxiliary hydraulic lines, perform the following procedure.
Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position in order to stop the engine.
Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position.
Move the multipurpose control back and forth in order to relieve hydraulic pressure within the auxiliary hydraulic lines.
Turn the engine start switch key to the OFF position.
Disconnect any auxiliary hydraulic hoses (if equipped).
Start the engine.

Move the lock on the quick coupler switch downward and press the top of the switch. The coupler pins will disengage.

multipurpose leverNote: The following machines require the multipurpose lever to be moved forward after pressing the quick coupler switch in order to disengage the coupler pins: 7ES1-1199, 6ZS1-2899 and 8BS1-1399.
Tilt the quick coupler assembly forward. Lower the quick coupler assembly away from the bosses of the work tool.
Back away from the work tool.
