Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine - Remove and Install".
Remove the piston pump (axle propel and drum propel). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Axle Propel and Drum Propel) - Remove and Install".

Remove eight bolts (2) and flange (1).

Loosen the two set screws and remove hub (3). Installation Procedure

A - Loctite 242 1
Install hub (3) in the reverse order of removal.
The pump shaft and the inside diameter of hub (3) must be clean and free of oil.

(X) 6.73 0.8 mm (0.26 0.03 inch)
Set gap (X) between hub (3) and the plate to 6.73 0.8 mm (0.26 0.03 inch).
Tighten the two setscrews to a torque of 55 2 N m (41 1.5 lb ft).
Install flange (1) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to eight bolts (2). Install flange (1) to the flywheel with the center protruding section away from the flywheel. End By:
Install the piston pump (axle propel and drum propel). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Axle Propel and Drum Propel) - Remove and Install".
Install the engine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine - Remove and Install".
