Return System SchematicThe cooler bypass and back pressure relief valve maintains a positive back pressure in the implement return system and the swing and travel return system. The back pressure relief valve prevents cavitation in the swing motors or travel motors. The implement bypass relief valve prevents cavitation in the cylinders.The hydraulic cooler shutoff valve prevents return oil from the cooler bypass valve from going through the hydraulic cooler when the hydraulic oil is below 38 °C (100 °F). The hydraulic cooler shutoff valve consists of a solenoid valve and a check valve. The solenoid valve is controlled by the machine control module.
