To prevent personal injury, release the pressure from the hydraulic system before any lines are removed or disconnected.
Put identification on all lines, hoses and tubes for installation purposes.1. Remove right front fender. 2. Disconnect all the necessary hydraulic lines and hoses (1) from the hoist control valve. Put plugs or caps on the lines and hoses to keep out debris and foreign material.3. Disconnect electrical connector (2) (hidden).4. Remove the mounting bolts and then use two people to remove the hoist control valve (3). The following steps are for the installation of the hoist control valve.5. Use two people to put the hoist control valve (3) in position on it's mounting bracket.6. Install the mounting bolts that hold the hoist control valve.7. Remove the caps or plugs from the lines and hoses. Connect the lines and hoses (1) to their respective ports on the hoist control valve. Reconnect the electrical connector.8. Start By:a. remove hoist control valve 1. Remove bolts (1) to remove solenoid core kit (3) and housing (2). 2. Remove solenoid core kit from the pin on the housing (2). Remove O-ring seals (10) and (11) from the core tube on the housing. Inspect the O-ring seals thoroughly.3. Remove plug (6). Inspect O-ring seal on the plug. Remove shims (7) spring (8) and relief valve (9).4. Remove plug (12), pin (13) and pilot spool (14). 5. Remove nuts (15) and remove manifold (16). 6. Remove valve housing (17) from the other manifold. 7. Remove spring (23), retainer (24) and directional valve spool (25).8. Remove seat (22). Inspect the seals on the seat (22).9. Remove spring (21) and check valve (20).10. Remove piston (18) and spring assembly. Remove metering spool (19) from the valve housing. The following steps are for the assembly of the hoist control valve.11. Install metering spool (19) in the valve housing. Install spring assembly and piston (18).12. Install check valve (20) and spring (21).13. Replace the seals on the seat (22) if necessary. Install seat (22).14. Install directional valve spool (25), retainer (24) and spring (23).15. Install valve housing (17) on manifolds (16). Install nuts (15).16. Install pilot spool (14) pin (13) and plug (12).17. Install relief valve (9), spring (8) and shims (7).18. Install plug (6).19. Install new O-ring seals (10) and (11) on the core tube on the housing if necessary.20. Install solenoid core kit (3) on the pin on the housing (2).21. Put housing (2) and solenoid core kit (3) in position with bolts (1).End By:a. install hoist control valve
