Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Disconnect sensor (5) and harness assembly (4) from valve mechanism cover base (1).
Disconnect harness assemblies (3).
Remove bolts (2), the washers, and the springs.
Remove valve mechanism cover base (1) and the seal. Installation Procedure

Position the seal and valve mechanism cover base (1) on the cylinder head.
Install the springs, the washers, and bolts (2). Tighten bolts (2) in a numerical sequence.
Connect harness assemblies (3).
Connect harness assembly (4) to valve mechanism cover base (1).
Connect sensor (5) to valve mechanism cover base (1). End By:
Install the valve mechanism cover. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Valve Mechanism Cover - Remove and Install".
