CASE-ST.CLUTCH 7K1150 - Caterpillar

Remove the plate assemblies, bracket assemblies, and channel assemblies. Use a suitable lifting device to lift and remove the radiator cores. The weight of the radiator core is approximately 50 kg (110 lb). Refer to Illustration 4.Discard the old 364-6099 Radiator Core As and seals. Retain the hardware and remaining parts.Assembly of New Radiator Core

Keep All parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Clean all parts and inspect all the parts thoroughly before reuse.
Use a suitable stand to assemble the radiator group.
Use a suitable lifting device to lift the new core assembly. Weight of the radiator core is approximately 70 kg (155 lb).

Location of 149-5933 Seal between radiator cores.
Install new 149-5933 Seal between the new core assemblies. The required length of the seal is 140 cm (55 inch). Refer to Illustrations 5 and 6.

Install new 149-5933 Seal along the sides of the new core assembly. The required length of the seal on each side is 140 cm (55 inch). Refer to Illustrations 5 and 7.

Install the 511-3119 Seal along the top and bottom side. Refer to Illustrations 5 and 8.

Use the parts that were removed from Step 6 of the disassembly procedure to assemble the radiator. Refer to Illustration 9.

Illustration indicates bolt locations.
Apply Loctite 243 to the threads of the bolt (X). Tighten the bolt to 38 2 N m (336 18 lb in).
Assemble the channel assemblies. Use the parts removed from Step 5 of the disassembly procedure. Refer to Illustration 3.
Assemble the plate assemblies. Use the parts removed from Step 4 of the disassembly procedure. Refer to Illustration 2.
Assemble the strips and baffles. Use the parts removed from Step 3 of the disassembly procedure. Refer to Illustration 1.
Install the radiator to the machine. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR8339, "773E Off-Highway Truck Engine Supplement", Radiator-Install.
Refill the coolant system and add 369-0804 Additive (Coolant Conditioner). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU8394, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".Note: Machines in the field may be installed with 141-0052 Radiator Cap. Once the 364-6099 Radiator Core As are replaced by the new 506-5145 Radiator Core As, 294-3342 Radiator Cap As can once again be used if desired. However, either cap the 141-0052 Radiator Cap or the 294-3342 Radiator Cap As can be used with the new 506-5145 Radiator Core As.
