Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information.When the "Generator Running" relay is energized, the remote stop link between pin 25 and pin 26 on the MCS3 controller will not stop the engine.The issue is caused by a wiring problem which was hidden by the controller output being set incorrectly in the parameter file.Note: This issue does not affect the quick-stop push button on the panel or the stop button on the MCS3 controller.The controller output has been corrected in the latest parameter file.Safety Section

Perform the following procedure to enable the remote stop function to operate correctly with the latest parameter file.
Isolate the power from the generator set.

Relay connector
Remove the double red wire from terminal K2:5 on the relay connector.
Insulate the exposed double red crimp ferrule with Heat Shrink (C).
Remove the white wire from terminal 118 on the bottom layer of the MCS3 controller. Remove the yellow crimped ferrule. Leave as much wire as possible.
Remove the insulation from the wire that was removed from terminal 118 to suit Ferrule (red) (A). Remove the insulation from Wire (D) to the same length.
Crimp the wire from terminal 118 and Wire (D) together using Ferrule (red) (A).

Connect the two wires that have been crimped together to terminal 118 on the MCS3 controller.
Route the other end of Wire (D) to relay (1).
Remove the insulation from Wire (D) to suit Ferrule (yellow) (B).
Crimp Ferrule (yellow) (B) to the end of Wire (D). Connect Wire (D) to terminal K2:5.
Replace any cable ties that have been removed with Cable Ties (E).
Use Cable Ties (E) to secure the insulated wires from Test Step 3 to the other wiring in the area.
