The VIMS electronic control module has received information from the engine control that indicates that one of the following conditions are present:
Both switches in the “shutdown switch circuit” are open for at least two seconds.
Both switches in the “shutdown switch circuit” are closed for at least two seconds.System Response:The engine is automatically shutdown.Test Step 1. Verify that CID 0267 has been logged against the engine control.Expected Result:CID 0267 is present for the engine control. Results:
YES - CID 0267 is present for the engine control.Repair: Exit this procedure and perform the diagnostic code procedure for the other diagnostic code that is present.STOP
NO - No other CID 0267 diagnostic codes are present.Repair: Verify that the correct “VIMS onboard software” is installed.STOP
