Cleanliness is an important factor. The exterior of the engine should be thoroughly cleaned before the removal procedure. Ensure the area around the Fuel Manifold and the Fuel Lines are thoroughly cleaned. This will prevent contaminants from entering the internal mechanism. Before replacing any Fuel Lines, follow the instructions that are listed below. Replace the Fuel Lines with the correct Fuel Lines Group.

Remove the front two low-pressure fuel lines (2). Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: Install hose clamps which have been inspected or install new hose clamps. Refer to Specifications, SENR3130, "Torque Specifications", "Hose Clamps" for information about selecting and installing the proper hose clamps.
Install the rear two low-pressure fuel lines (1) with new hoses.
Install the front two low-pressure fuel lines (2) with new hoses. Note: Make sure that the hoses do not contact nearby components. Excessive contact with other surfaces will produce chafing that could lead to a leak.
Carefully inspect the engine for any spilled fuel. Make sure that no fuel remains on or close to the engine.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
