The new 442-5727 Valve Cover Base, 435-8537 Engine Harness As, and 435-8538 Engine Harness As are adaptable to the above engines back to first production.New brackets were introduced to utilize the former 222-6953 Valve Cover Base .The former 222-6953 Valve Cover Base is canceled.

(2) 444-2472 Bracket As (3) 8T-4205 Hard Washer (4) 2D-6235 Locknut Note: The 100-5218 Clip, the 100-5219 Clip, and the associated hardware will still be utilized.
Install one bracket (1) onto the 222-6953 Valve Cover Base with one washer (3) and one locknut (4). Refer to Illustration 4 for the correct location of the bracket.
Install two brackets (2) onto the 222-6953 Valve Cover Base with one washer (3) and one locknut (4) per bracket. Refer to Illustration 4 for the correct location of the brackets.

Secure the wiring harness to brackets (1) and (2) with two cable straps (5) per bracket.The change is effective with engine serial numbers on or after 11December 2013.
