4P-7428 Clip 11. Raise the cab. Refer to the Operations andMaintenance Manual "Cab Tilt" Illustration 42. To prevent the harness from contacting thehydraulic hose, cut and discard the tie strap. Remove the bolt, washer,clip, and spacer that is located on the top side of the tube flange. Discardthe clip. Refer to Illustration 4. Illustration 53. Install the bolt, washer, a new clip andthe spacer onto the bottom side of the tube flange. Make sure that theclip is facing downward and toward the rear of the machine. Refer to Illustration5.4. Use a tie strap to attach the harness connectorto the clip. Make a loop in the harness as shown and use a second tie strapto attach the harness to the clip. Illustration 65. Connect the 196-0055 Serial Cable between the171-4401 Communication Adapter and CAT ET (laptop).
Connect the 207-6845 Adapter Cable between the171-4401 Communication Adapter and the diagnostic connector on the machine.
Turn the key switch to the ?ON? position.
Use WinFlash to load the software flash file intothe Transmission ECM
Note: Do not use 3.5-inch disks when flashingsoftware. All software to be flashed must be loaded onto the PC hard drivefirst, and flashed from the hard drive directory. Disable the PC screensaverbefore beginning the flash procedure.
Cycle the key switch to the ?OFF? position forat least twenty seconds until the ECM has reset and then back to the ?ON?position.
Group 4 - Front A-Frame Bolt Inspection Illustration 11. Remove the collar to enable access to thethree bolts. Refer to illustration 12. Using a torque wrench and apply a STATICINSPECTION TORQUE of 80 N.m (60 lb/ft) to each of the three bolts.3. If any of the bolts turn then move ontostep 4 to step 10. If the bolts do not turn then re-install the collar.Refer to illustration 1. Illustration 24. Support the front suspension frame witha suitable hydraulic jack. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, REHS5140? Front Suspension Frame Remove.5. Remove the three bolts and the washer. Referto illustration 2
