This cap is part of 4E-8619 Brake Reservoir Group. Replace the brake reservoir group and remove the 344-8938 Seal Ring and the 344-8939 Support Ring. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure.

PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Check for contamination and scratches on the seal and top threaded portion of the tank, refer to Image1.1.1. Scratches and contamination may occur due to the following:
- The cap and tank are soft for plastic, scratches may occur when closed forcibly, which can result in leakage.
- Top of the tank and seal do not have proper contact.

2. Check the cap seal assembly. Ensure that the seal is on correctly, look for the following things, refer to Image1.2.1:
- Cap and seal ? three "mistake proofing" shapes may be misaligned
- Cap seal - upside down

3. Replace the 159-7907 Brake Reservoir Kit.
4. Remove the 344-8938 Seal Ring and 344-8939 Support Ring. Refer to Image1.4.1.
