The IR-Illuminators are to be placed on the left and right of the sensor to illuminate both sides of the operator's face in low light conditions. The ideal positions for the IR-Illuminators are low and to the side (away from the frontal direction). The illuminators should also be positioned where the light glare from glasses does not reflect directly into the sensor when looking forward. It is also important to minimize any shadows that may be cast from obstructions such as equipment (usually monitors or radio systems) currently installed in the vehicle or from the operator's arms.Mounting the IR-Illuminators

GPS cable run
The GPS should be mounted in a position where it can clearly see the sky but is protected from rock fall or other physical damage as much as possible. Depending on the size and style of the truck bed/tray there may be many options. The most common option on a haul truck is on the front railing. Grab rails or mirror frames are often used in over the road vehicles. The GPS cable generally follows the same path as other cables on the truck running towards the electrical compartment.Speaker
The speaker should be in a location that will prevent damage and provide a strong audible alert to the operator. The speaker mounting bracket can be bolted directly to one of two threaded mounting points on the IVS computer mounting bracket. Alternatively, the self-tapping screws can be used to mount the speaker in the cabin or it can be mounted using one of the IVS computer mounting bolts.Vibration Motor

The following should be considered when mounting the vibration motor:Location - Ensure that the vibration motor cable will reach the computer. Ensure that the location of the vibration motor will not impede the operation of the seat.Screws - If using self-tapping screws to attach the vibrator directly to the operator's seat, ensure that the portion of the screw protruding through the metal will not cause discomfort or injury to the operator or interfere with the seats operation.Cable - Leave sufficient cable length to allow the seat to operate in its full range of movement without damaging the cable. Also protect the cable with split conduit where required.Effectivity - Ensure that the vibration motor is mounted in a location that allows the operator to feel the vibrations through the seat, that is, the vibration motor should be mounted directly to the seat as opposed to the seats mounting bracket, and so on.Troubleshooting
