Hoist control valve (1) is located on the right side of the machine.
Loosen jam nut (2) and turn screw (3) counterclockwise by four turns.
Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.

Switch (4) for the secondary steering is located on the left side of the dash panel.

Valve stem (5) is located directly under the hoist control valve.Note: You will need two people to perform this procedure.
Depress test switch (4) for the secondary steering and pull down on valve stem (5) simultaneously. This action will connect oil from the secondary steering pump to the hoist cylinders. The truck body will lower under power from the secondary steering pump.Note: Only operate the switch for a maximum of one minute. Wait for two minutes before you reuse the switch.
When the body has been lowered past the balance point, release valve stem (5) and release test switch (4) for the secondary steering. When the body is past the balance point, the body can then be lowered without oil pressure .
After the body has been lowered, turn screw (3) in a clockwise direction until the screw is tight. Tighten jam nut (2) .Do not operate the machine until the fault has been corrected.
