START BY:a. remove axles (rear only)b. remove oscillating axle housing and supports 1. Remove bolts (1) that hold the differential to the axle housing.2. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the differential carrier as shown. Two 5/8"-11 NC forcing screws (2) can be used to loosen differential (3) from the axle housing.3. Remove differential (3) from the axle housing. The weight of the differential is 120 kg (265 lb.). 4. Remove seal ring (4) from the differential.Install Rear Differential
1. Make sure the O-ring seal is installed around the differential carrier, and put clean differential oil on it.2. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to differential (3) as shown.3. Put differential (3) in position in the axle housing with the bevel gear toward the right hand wheel assembly. Dowel hole (2) in differential carrier (3) must be in alignment with dowel (1) in the axle housing. 4. Install bolts (4) that hold the differential carrier to the axle housing.
