Description of Change: This new special instruction contains information about the parts and procedure that is needed to improve the air tank system on the machines listed above. The improvements to the air tank system will make sensor readings more accurate and will allow the air compressor to run more efficiently. The air line routing has changed to more effectively remove contaminants and create a more reliable air system.For a complete list of material and the correct procedure that is needed in order to update the air system to the current configuration, refer to Special Instruction, REHS7177, "Improved Air Tank System for Certain 657G Wheel Tractor-Scrapers". The special instruction can be found on the Caterpillar service information system (SIS) and through the normal literature distribution system at your local Cat dealer.Adaptable To: The new special instruction is adaptable to the following machines.
