Start the engine. Park the machine on a hard, level surface. Fully extend the stick. Position the bucket level on cribbing. Shut off the engine.

Remove bolts (1) and plate (2).

Slide O-ring seals (3) off the pin joints between the bucket and link assembly (4) and onto the flanges of the bucket.

Place cribbing (6) under the link assembly. Use a hoist, a lifting sling, and Tooling (A) to remove pin assembly (5) from the H-Family Bucket. The weight of Tooling (A) and pin assembly (5) for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 250 kg (550 lb). Use a hoist, a lifting sling, and Tooling (B) to remove pin assembly (5) from the J-Family Bucket. The weight of Tooling (B) and pin assembly (5) for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 280 kg (610 lb).

Place cribbing (9) under cylinder (10). Remove bolts (7) and plate (8).

Use a hoist and a lifting sling to remove link assembly (13). The weight of the link assembly for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 75 kg (160 lb). The weight of the link assembly for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 90 kg (200 lb).

Use a hoist and lifting slings to position Tooling (B) on pin assembly (16). Use a hoist, lifting slings, and Tooling (C) to support link assembly (17). Place cribbing (14) under link assembly (15). Remove pin assembly (16). The weight of Tooling (B) and the pin assembly for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 250 kg (550 lb). The weight of Tooling (B) and the pin assembly for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 280 kg (615 lb).
Remove link assembly (17). The weight of link assembly (17) for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 365 kg (800 lb). The weight of link assembly (17) for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 525 kg (1150 lb).

Remove grease fitting (18) from pin assembly (19).

Use a hoist and a lifting sling to support link assembly (20). Use a hoist and a lifting sling to position Tooling (B) on pin assembly (21). Remove the pin assembly. The weight of pin assembly (21) and Tooling (B) for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 215 kg (475 lb). The weight of pin assembly (21) and Tooling (B) for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 235 kg (520 lb). The weight of link assembly (20) for the H-Family Bucket is approximately 75 kg (160 lb). The weight of link assembly (20) for the J-Family Bucket is approximately 90 kg (200 lb).
