Disconnect the plug connector on the wiring harness in the console from the receptacle connector on the rotary switch.

Replace the former 106-0107 Rotary Switch Gp with the new 319-4420 Rotary Switch Gp on the console.

Replace the 155-2273 Connector Plug As on the wiring harness in the console with the new 230-5010 Connector Plug As. Refer to Table 2 and Table 3. Use the information that follows for the installation of the new plug connector.

Use a hook or wire with a bent tip and remove the green plug lock wedge.

Use a small screwdriver and loosen the hook inside the connector in order to remove the grommet from the connector. Pull backward gently on the wires.

Remove the wire by holding down the connector and the grommet. Pull the contact from the grommet. The grommet should remain in the connector.

Insertion Of The Contacts
Insert the contacts in the housing.

Pull gently on the wires in order to make sure that contacts are securely assembled in the housing.

Push the connector into the housing after all of the contacts have been inserted.

Correct Assembly (A) No gap

Incorrect Assembly (B) The gap exists.
Make sure that the connector is fully inserted into the housing. Refer to Illustration 13 and Illustration 14.

Use a driver and push the connector into the housing in order to complete the assembly. You will hear a click when the connector is fully inserted.
Connect the receptacle connector on the switch assembly with the new plug connector on the wiring harness in the console.
Install the new software that is appropriate for your machine. Refer to Table 1.
