Description of Change: Changes have been made to the hydraulic control system for the inter-axle differential (IAD) lock on the above listed articulated trucks. The new control system removes the IAD accumulator and the associated charging system. Removal of the accumulator charging system prevents high oil pressure spikes in the IAD hydraulic circuit. Spikes in the IAD hydraulic circuit may damage the output transfer gear (OTG) pressure filter, the filter base, or the oil cooler.Adaptable To: Special Instruction, REH9444, "Procedure to Update the Inter Axle Differential Lock Hydraulic Control System on 735B, 740B, and 740B Ejector Articulated Trucks"The new control system is adaptable to the following machines by using the Special Instruction referenced above:
