1-Cap. 2-Lock. 3-Nut. At installation, tighten to 550 50 lb. ft. (76,1 6,9 mkg). 4-Retainer. 5-Shims. 6-Support assembly. 7-Holder assembly. 8-Bolts (twenty). At installation, tighten to 100 10 lb. ft. (13,8 1,4 mkg).
9-Final drive unit. 10-FT524 Lifting Hook (Fabricated Tool).Use two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws to separate final drive case from steering clutch and bevel gear case.Apply 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material to the mating surfaces of both the final drive and steering clutch cases before installing final drive unit.Final Drive Disassembly
1 Tighten to proper torque at assembly. Reinstall temporarily when pulling bearing cage holder.2 See topic Aligning Track Roller Frame With Sprocket for shim usage.3, 4 See dimension illustrated for installing bearing into support.
FINAL DRIVE OUTER SUPPORT BEARING INSTALLATION
3-Support assembly. 4-Final drive outer bearing. B-.1775 .0025 in. (4,51 0,06 mm) dimension.5 Install nut (1) loosely and use an 8H705 Puller and 8B7560 Step Plate to remove bearing cage holder.6 Tools required to pull bearing cage from holder: 8B7554 Bearing Cup Pulling Attachment, 5F7345 Screw, 8B7560 Step Plate and a suitable spacer to cover hole in hub of holder.7 Tools required to pull bearing cup from cage: 8B7548 Push Puller, 8B7554 Bearing Cup Pulling Attachment. Chill bearing cup to install and be sure it is bottomed in bore of bearing cage.8 Tighten bearing adjusting nut to 1050 50 lb. ft. (145,2 20,7 mkg) torque using force of 180-240 lbs. on end of five foot extension of the 7F9306 Spanner Wrench. Rotate sprocket 4 or 5 revolutions while tightening, then continue in same direction to next notch to install lock.9, 10, 14, 15 See the General Instructions for Duo-Cone Seal information. Use a 9M5143 Seal Installer tool at the time of installation.11, 12 Using a 7F9306 Spanner Wrench, turn sprocket retaining nut in a counterclockwise direction to force off bearing cone.13, 14 Install retaining nut (12) leaving .25 in. (6,35 mm) between it and sprocket. Install puller setup on sprocket. Tools required: 7F9831 Cylinder Group, 5F9040 Puller Arm Group (three), 5F7334 Spacer Group and 6F25 or 3S6224 Pump Group. Tools required to install sprocket are: 7F9831 Cylinder Group, 5F9885 Adapter, 7F5288 Pusher Group, 5F9892 Pin, 5F9888 Coupling and 6F25 or 3S6224 Pump Group. Press sprocket on hub with force of 35 to 40 tons (31,8 to 36,3 MT). Sprocket Segment Removal And Installation
1. Remove final drive dirt guard.2. Move machine until sprocket segment (1) is positioned as shown. 3. Remove nuts (2) and sprocket segment (1).4. Install bolts with heads of bolts against the hub.5. Lubricate threads of bolts with high pressure lubricant or 9M3710 Anti-Seize Compound.6. Install sproket segment with machined side towards sprocket hub.7. Install and tighten all nuts (2) to 130 30 lb. ft.; then tighten each nut an additional 1/3 turn.8. Install final drive dirt guard. To extend sprocket segment wear, rotate sprocket segments on left side of machine to right side and vice-versa.16, 22 Apply 7M7260 Liquid Gasket Material to the mating surfaces of both the final drive and steering
