(1) Hydraulic tank breather Hydraulic tank breather (1) is located on top of the hydraulic tank between the engine air cleaners.

Remove breather cover (2) from the top of hydraulic tank breather (1). Remove breather element (3) and dispose of properly.
Thoroughly clean the breather cover.
Carefully wipe clean the inside of breather housing (4). Use care when cleaning the inside of the breather housing in order to avoid causing any dirt or other debris to enter the hydraulic tank. Note: The surfaces of the breather cover and the breather housing that come into contact with the breather element must be clean in order to seal properly.
Install a new breather element in the breather housing.
Install the breather cover on the top of the hydraulic tank breather.
