Tighten the eight bolts to a torque of 300 50 N m (221 37 lb ft) in the order specified in illustration 2.

Tighten the entire 40 bolt pattern to a torque of 450 50 N m (332 37 lb ft). Refer to illustration 3 for the pattern.
Turn bolts 1-40 in a circular pattern an additional 30 deg +/- 5 deg. Refer to illustration 3 for the pattern.

Perform a static torque pull of the two bolts shown in illustration 4. The static torque should be no less than 800 N m (590 lb ft).Caterpillar Channel 1 Video
