Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the engine side guards. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.
Remove the cab filters. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Cab Filter (Fresh Air) - Clean/Inspect/Replace".
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change".

Remove bolt (1). Repeat for the other side.

Disconnect hose assembly (4). Remove bolts (2) and cover (3). Repeat for the other side.

Remove bolts (5). Remove plate (6) .

Loosen hose clamps (11) and remove the hoses. Remove bolts (9) and (12). Remove heater core (10) .Installation Procedure

Install heater core (10). Install bolts (9) and (12). Install the hoses and tighten hose clamps (11). Tighten hose clamps (11) to a torque of 8 3 N m (71 27 lb in).

Install bolts (7) and (8) .

Install plate (6). Install bolts (5).

Install cover (3) and bolts (2). Connect hose assembly (4). Repeat for the other side.

Install bolt (1). Repeat for the other side.
Install the cab filters. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Cab Filter (Fresh Air) - Clean/Inspect/Replace".
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Extended Life Coolant - Change".End By: Install the engine side guards. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Side Guards - Remove and Install".
