Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Lubricate all seals with clean hydraulic fluid.

Attach a suitable lifting device to swivel (2). The weight of swivel (2) is 95 kg (209 lb).Note: Ensure that the orientation of swivel (2) is correct. The "O" stamping on swivel (2) should connect to the circuit that retracts the cylinders. The "B" stamping on swivel (2) must connect to the circuit that extends the cylinders.
Place swivel (2) into position in the work tool. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of six bolts (8) that secure swivel (2) to the upper housing. Install the six bolts and the washers. Remove the lifting device from swivel (2) .

Typical Example
Install the two O-ring seals to two flanges (6) and place the flanges into position on swivel (2). Install the two O-ring seals to the two hose assemblies and place the two hoses into position against the flanges. Install the eight bolts, the washers, and four half flanges (5) that secure the two hoses.
Place lock plate (7) into position on swivel (2). Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the six bolts that secure the plate to swivel (2). Install the six bolts and the washers.

Install the two O-ring seals to two hydraulic couplings (1). Slide the couplings against swivel (2) .
Install the eight bolts, the washers, and the four half flanges that secure two hydraulic couplings (1) to the swivel.
Place bushings (4) into position. Install four bolts (3) and the washers that secure the bushings to the upper housing. Repeat this step for the other side of the work tool.Note: The hydraulic system must be purged of air before the work tool can be returned to operation. Refer to Service Manual, "Hydraulic System Air - Purge".
