Change the stop design to gain needed clearanceThe improvements of the 267-5425 Front Shovel Bucket Ar with the new design were changed after 20February 2015. The existing buckets that were built before 20February 2015 will require rework.

Identification of new or former design of front shovel bucket (1) Stop height measurementIn order to identify if your bucket is the new design or the former design, check the measurement of the stop height shown in Illustration 2. The improved front shovel bucket has a measurement of 198 mm (7.8 inch). The former front shovel bucket has a stop height measurement of 173 mm (6.81 inch)Rework Procedure
The front shovel bucket arrangement that was built prior to 20February 2015 will require cutting a slot in the bucket spill guard in order to clear the eye on the stick. The following illustrations provide details of the interference and the dimensions in order to cut the slot in the spill guard.
