November 30, 1992Problem
Some CAT Engine Oil may have been produced with viscosities higher than the label on its container indicates. The viscosities of the oil labeled 10W30 may actually be 12W30, and 15W40 may actually be closer to 18W40.
Action Required
Inspect your stock of CAT Engine Oil and remove containers with the following batch numbers and marking numbers:

Mobil Oil will arrange to pick up the oil removed from stock and replace it with new CAT Diesel Engine Oil (-CF-4) in the corresponding container and quantities at no charge.
Parts Disposition
Call Debbie Widmeier at 1-800-662-4574 to file a report with Mobil Oil. Be prepared to provide your dealer code, name, address, viscosity, container sizes, quantity and location of oil removed from stock.
