3306B EnginesDescription of Change: A new camshaft, with higher carbides, is now used. The higher carbides provide more resistance to spalling, pitting and wear. The follower did not change.Adaptable To: The new 7E9980 Camshaft is a direct replacement for the former 7C3863 Camshaft. The new camshaft is effective with engine serial numbers 08Z57268, 13Z23027, 63Z19144, 64Z9679, 84Z1806, 85Z6799, 7JB4776, 2AJ371, 5KD2476. The new camshaft is serviced only in a kit. The new 4P2942 Cam Kit replaces the former 9Y1722 Cam Kit and includes the 7S3161 Valve Lifter and 8T2998 Lubricant.
