Information:
1. Loosen nuts (2) and (4). Slide the alternator to loosen the fan belts. Remove the fan belts from the pulley on the transmission oil and scavenge pump.2. Remove bolts (1) and plate (3). 3. Remove bolts (5) that hold three tubes (7) to the pump and to the transmission. Remove the tubes.4. Remove all bolts (6) except for the two bolts at the top of the pump. 5. Install two long bolts (9) that were removed in Step 4 as shown. Remove the two short bolts at the top of the pump.6. Move the pump away from the transmission and on to bolts (9).7. Install a 7/16"-14 NC forged eyebolt (8) and two nuts on the pump as shown. Fasten tool (A) to the eyebolt and to the lifting eye on the fuel tank.8. Remove two bolts (9). 9. Turn the pump (10) perpendicular to the transmission and lower it to the ground. Weight of transmission oil and scavenge pump is 75 lb. (34 kg).Install Transmission Oil And Scavenge Pump
1. Install a 7/16"-14 NC forged eyebolt (1) and two nuts in the top bolt hole in the pump.2. Fasten tool (A) to eyebolt (1) and to the lifting eye in the fuel tank. Put transmission oil and scavenge pump (2) in position on the transmission with tool (A).3. Install two long bolts (3) as shown. Remove tool (A) and the eyebolt and nuts. 4. Install the bolts that hold the pump to the transmission. Remove bolts (3) and install them in their correct locations. Install the two short bolts. 5. Put three tubes (5) in position on the transmission and on the pump. Install bolts (4) that hold the tubes.6. Install the plate and the bolts that hold it to the bottom of the radiator.7. start by: a) remove transmission oil and scavenge pump1. Thoroughly clean the outside of the pump. 2. Remove bolts (3). Remove pulley (2) from pump (1). Remove the gasket from the pump. 3. Remove bolts (5). Remove cage (4) from the manifold. 4. Remove spiral snap ring (8) that holds coupling (6) in the cage.5. Remove coupling (6) from the cage with tooling (A).6. Remove seal (7) and the bearing from the cage. 7. Remove bolts (9) that hold cover (10) for the transmission oil pump section to the manifold for the
