Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Compressor housing must go straight on the turbocharger assembly without tilting. Tilting may cause compressor blade to tip, or the compressor shaft can be damaged.
Put an alignment mark on the new turbocharger cartridge in the same location as the old turbocharger cartridge.

Position turbine assembly (1) on Tooling (A). Install the nozzle in turbine housing (1).
Install the O-ring seal on turbocharger cartridge (4). Align the marks and connect turbocharger cartridge (4) onto turbine housing (1). Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (3). Install clamps (2) and bolts (3). Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 48 3 N m (35 2 lb ft). Bend the tabs of the locks on the bolts.
Rotate the turbocharger cartridge in order to ensure that the turbocharger cartridge does not contact the turbine housing.
Align the marks and connect compressor housing (6) to turbocharger cartridge (4). Apply Tooling (B) to bolts (5). Install the clamps and bolts (5). Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).
Rotate the turbocharger cartridge in order to ensure that the turbocharger cartridge does not contact the compressor housing. End By:
Install the turbocharger.
