1. Install check valve (3), spring (2) and plug (1) in valve body. Tighten plug to a torque of 50 3 lb.ft. (6.9 0.4 mkg).2. Install charging valve spool (4) in valve body.3. Install plug (5) in flow control valve spool. Tighten plug to a torque of 20 2 lb.ft. (2.8 3 mkg). Install flow control valve spool (6) in valve body. 4. Put the valve body on end and install washer (14), nine balls (11), retainer (10), spring (9), shims (8) and retainer (7).5. Install spring (13) and spacer (12). Shims (8) adjust the difference between cutout to cut-in pressure. 6. Install end body, relief valve, rod, spring. shims and retainer (19). If a replacement of the relief valve seat is being made, lower the temperature of the seat before installation.7. Install piston and plug (15). Tighten plug to a torque of 50 3 lb.ft. (6.9 0.4 mkg). 8. Install springs (16), shims (17) and cover (18). Push the cover into place with longer bolts or forcing screws and nuts. Shims (17) change the cutout pressure of the charging valve.9. Install bolts in cover.end by: a) install accumulator charging valveRemove Brake Accumulator
1. Remove floor plates over transmission and accumulator.
Make sure all pressure in the brake system is released before any lines are disconnected.
2. Remove the three bolts that hold the accumulator to the lower bracket. 3. Remove clip (3) that holds the hydraulic pipe in place.4. Disconnect line (2) from accumulator pipe.5. Fasten a hoist to the accumulator. Remove the two bolts (1) from the top flange. Remove accumulator from machine. Weight of accumulator is 120 lb. (54 kg).Install Brake Accumulator
1. Fasten a hoist and put the accumulator (1) in position in machine. Install bolts in top flange.2. Connect the hydraulic line to pipe and install clip.3. Install the bolts in lower bracket.4. Charge the accumulator with dry nitrogen gas. See TESTING AND CHARGING the ACCUMULATOR in TESTING AND ADJUSTING for the correct method.5. Install floor plates over transmission and accumulator.Disassemble Brake Accumulator
start by: a) remove brake accumulator1. Remove pipe from the bottom of accumulator. 2. Release the nitrogen gas pressure from the accumulator by slowly loosening valve or the three bolts that fasten the flange (1) to the accumulator head (2).3. Remove flange (1) and head (2) from accumulator. 4. Remove piston from accumulator with tooling (A).5. Remove the seal rings from piston.6. Inspect piston and inside walls of accumulator tube.Assemble Brake Accumulator
1. Install the seals (1) on the piston.2. Put the piston (2) in position in the accumulator. Make sure the threaded hole in piston is toward the head end of accumulator. 3. Install tooling (A) and push the piston to the bottom of the accumulator. 4. Install head (5) on accumulator.5. Install O-ring seal (6) in flange (4). Install flange on head. Hole (3) is a storage place for an extra O-ring seal for flange (4).6. Install pipe on bottom of accumulator.end by: a) install brake accumulator
