Remove Turbochargers (TV91)
1. Disconnect the air inlet system from the turbocharger. 2. Remove turbocharger oil supply line (1) and oil drain line (2) from the engine. 3. Disconnect flange (4) from the aftercooler manifold.4. Fasten a hoist to the turbocharger. Remove bolts and nuts (5), and remove the turbocharger from the exhaust manifold and support (3). The weight of the turbocharger used in 3512 Engines is 45 kg (100 lb.). The weight of the turbocharger used on 3516 Engines is 61 kg (134 lb.).5. Remove flange (4) and the pipe from the turbocharger compressor housing.Install Turbochargers (TV91)
1. Make sure the O-ring seals are installed on the pipe and have clean engine oil on them. Install the pipe in flange (2) and the turbocharger compressor housing.2. Fasten a hoist to the turbocharger and put it in position on the coupling of support (1). Make sure the gaskets for the turbocharger and flange (2) are in position. Install the bolts to hold flange (2) to the aftercooler manifold.3. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of nuts and bolts that hold the turbocharger in position. Install the bolts and nuts. Tighten the bolts and nuts to a torque of 54 5 N m (40 4 lb.ft.). 4. Make sure the gaskets and seals are in position for oil drain line (4) and oil supply line (3), and put the turbocharger oil lines on the engine. Put 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the bolts that hold oil lines to the turbochargers, and install the bolts.5. Connect the air inlet system to the turbochargers.
