Install 164-9990 Film (6) onto new 168-6251 Plate Assembly (7) .

Install 155-2719 Rocker Switch (8) into plate assembly (7). Transfer all of the original electrical components from the old plate assembly into plate assembly (7). Make sure that the components are installed in the original locations.
Reinstall the vandalism guard and the locking plate, if equipped.

Drill a hole into plate (A). The diameter of the hole is 15 mm (0.59 inch). Refer to Illustration 7 for the correct location of the hole.
Install the appropriate end of 191-9016 Harness (9) into the hole.
Install 011-7960 Grommet onto the harness and into the hole. The grommet may be cut in order to ease installation.
Put the dash assembly into position on the machine. Install the three screws. Do not tighten the three screws at this time. Reconnect all electrical components.

Connect wiring harness connector (10) to travel switch (8) .

Remove brown wire (11) from dimming resistor (12). The number on the wire will be "600". Install wire (11) into pin 1 of connector (14) on the new wiring harness.
Install new brown wire (13) into the pin of dimming resistor (12). The number on the new wire will be "600".

Install ground wire (16) onto dash ground (15). Install four 7K-1181 Cable Straps (17) onto the wiring harness, as shown.

Put the dash assembly in position. Install two allen head screws (1) into the front of the dash. Tighten the screws. Tighten the three screws that are located beneath the dash.

Route harness assembly (9) along the main wiring harness to the ECM manifold. Install 7k-1181 Cable Straps (18) in order to secure wiring harness (9) to the main wiring harness. The gap between the straps should be approximately 30 cm (12 inch).

Install wire connector (19) onto the short pink wire on new wiring harness (9) .
Cut the wire strap from harness code (20) .Note: The harness code plug will need to be replaced for 2ZN1-1749 Track-Type Loaders. Remove 117-4868 Harness Code and install 152-7381 Harness Code .
Remove pink wire (21) from harness code (20). Install wire (21) into pin 1 of new harness connector (19) .
Install longer pink wire (22) into the pin on harness code (20) that was emptied in Step 21.

Remove plug (23) from ECM manifold (24) .Note: For machines with serial numbers 2ZN2300-2779, if there are wires in pin 25 and pin 26 of plug (23), remove the wires. Strap the wires to the main harness with a minimum of three wraps of black vinyl tape.

Install white wire (25) into pin 25 on plug (23). Install blue wire (26) into pin 26. Reinstall plug (23) into the ECM manifold.
Use straps to secure the harness code and the new harness assembly in position.
