Advisor Display
The monitoring system continuously monitors all machine systems. The monitoring system consists of both software and hardware components. The monitoring system communicates with the ECM of other systems via the Cat Data Link.Standard Monitoring System
The standard monitoring system is used when Truck Payload Management System (TPMS) is installed on the truck.The hardware components of the standard monitoring system consist of the following:

The Advisor monitoring system is used when VIMS is installed.The Advisor monitoring system monitors the operation of the machine. The Advisor provides the operator with the following information:

Warning Events
Modes of OperationThe Advisor display is located on the right side of the dash panel.Instantaneous information and lifetime totals about the machine condition and performance is constantly gathered by the "Advisor" module.The operator is able to adjust many of the settings in order to match the machine to the desired application. The "Advisor" module is used to view the preferences of the operator and the parameters of the machine. The "Advisor" module is used to change the preferences of the operator and the parameters of the machine. Refer to System Operation , RENR8344 for more information on the truck monitoring system.Service Operations
The operator and/or the service person can initiate numerous VIMS service operations. A service program code (SPC) is assigned to each service operations. Use the keypad to enter the service program code into the VIMS. The service program code initiates the corresponding server operation. Some of the service operations are listed in this table.
