Adaptable To: The new 142-0771 Fan Bracket replaces the former 1P-9945 Fan Bracket Assembly (not canceled). This change is effective with 515 (4LR403-Up) and 525 (1D1040-Up) Wheel Skidders. This change is also adaptable to first production.--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------Description of Change: Several improvements have been made to the grapple control handle group. An improved seal is used to prevent ingress of moisture and debris into the control group. The switch cover material has been improved so that it remains pliable in colder temperatures. Also, a setscrew and keyway are used to prevent the handle assembly from rotating on the internal lever. The larger setscrew locks in the keyway to secure the handle and prevent handle rotation.
These improvements will allow the operator to manipulate the control handle more easily in colder temperatures. Previously, the rubber boot could get stiff in cold temperatures. When this happened, it was difficult for the operator to activate the auto grab function. Additionally, the handle assembly could work loose and allow the handle to rotate. The rotation could cause excessive strain on the switches, wires, and connectors.
Adaptable To: The improved 137-2106 (Grapple) Control Handle Group is effective with 515 (4LR334), and 525 (1DN990) Wheel Skidders, and is adaptable to first production.
