The circuits that are passed through the wall of the "Inverter Cabinet" are connected through one of two 40-contact connectors. These connectors are on the left-hand side of the cabinet (facing the front of the truck).The two cabinet connectors are the CN1 connector and the CN2 connector.The CN1 cabinet connector mates up to the machine harness CX-C3 connector. The CN2 cabinet connector mates up to the machine harness CX-C4 connector.The data link communication circuits and some of the system status circuits that are connected between Drivetrain ECM and the system components in the "Inverter Cabinet" pass through the CN2 / CX-C4 connectors.The motor temperature sensor circuits and the motor speed sensor circuits that are monitored by each motor control ECM are connected through the CN1 / CX-C3 connectors.The cabinet connectors provide a good check point in a circuit that will help to determine whether a problem is located inside the "Inverter Cabinet" or outside of the "Inverter Cabinet".The system schematics in this manual illustrate every connection point for all the circuits inside the cabinet.The system schematics in this manual for components that are located outside of the "Inverter Cabinet" show all end-point connections for the circuits. The schematics do not show all the machine harness connections for the circuits.For the connector locations and the contacts assignments for all machine harness connections in a specific circuit outside of the "Inverter Cabinet", always refer to the Electrical System Schematic for your machine. Illustrations are used to call out the locations of all the connectors that are used in all the machine wiring harnesses.
