410 Diesel Control Unit (DCU)
The following information allows the user to access information that can aid troubleshooting the system.Troubleshooting DCU
Navigate to the troubleshooting screen. Click on the "Troubleshooting DCU" icon to access the screens for troubleshooting. Refer to Illustration 1.

Note: There are two troubleshooting screens for the DCU. Illustration 2 only shows screen one of the available screens.Power Supply Check
Click the battery icon on the DCU. Illustration 2 shows what the dialog looks like. The "Supply" icon allow access to power supply information.

The screen that lists the supplies will appear after the battery supply icon is clicked. Illustration 3 is an example of a power supply screen.

The DCU will automatically select power from either the primary or the secondary supply. In Illustration 3, the secondary supply is low, so the DCU selected the primary power.Switch Inputs
The DCU can be used to check the status of input switches. For each of the eight switch channels, the switch screen indicates if the switch is open (0V) or closed (24V) input. If the troubleshooting screen indicates open, and there is a 24V signal connected to the input channel, then that input channel is not working properly. Refer to Illustration 4.

4-20mA Channels
There are 4, 4mA to 20mA channels on the DCU.

Each of the channels can be configured to indicate one of the following:
A value for an input, in a unit of measure that the input is configured for, if there is any configured unit of measure
A value for an input configured to be displayed in mA (Milliamperes)
A value for an input to indicate a broken wire, if the input is <2mA
A value for an input to indicate a short circuit, if the input is >25mA
A value for an input to indicate if a channel in use or not PT100 Channels
There are four PT100 channels on the DCU.
A value for an input, in a unit of measure that the input is configured for, if there is any configured unit of measure
A value for an input to indicate a faulty channel
A value for an input to indicate if a channel in use or not

Communication
The communication screen shows the status for communication ports "COM 1" to "COM 6".

Output
The output screen shows the status of the DCU outputs, terminals 63 to 84.If the display shows that terminal 81 indicates "Active" (24V), but a voltmeter indicates that there is 0V on terminal 81, then that output channel is faulty.

Inputs
The input screen shows the DCU input status, terminals 86 to 97.If a voltmeter shows that DCU terminal 89 is at 24V, but the troubleshooting screen for that channel indicates "Inactive", then that input channel is faulty.

Run Sources
There are a number of different sources that can be configured to indicate to the DCU that the engine is running.The run sources screen indicates which source is providing an engine running signal to the DCU.
