5K-5068 Fitting     1    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Use bolts (9) to secure secondary piston pump (7) and the gasket to electric motor (6) .

With the help of another person, position electric motor (6) and secondary piston pump (7). The combined weight of electric motor (6) and secondary steering pump (7) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).
Install bolts (8) .

Note: The transmission has been removed for photographic clarity.
Connect harness assembly (2) to electric motor (6) .
Connect cable assemblies (1) and (5) to electric motor (6) .
Connect hose assemblies (3) and (4) to secondary steering pump (7) .

Remove Tooling (A) from the hydraulic tank.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.End By: Install the axle oil cooler (if equipped). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Axle Oil Cooler - Remove and Install".
