Increase - Push this switch in order to increase the temperature of the air that is coming out of the air outlets or push this switch in order to increase the preset temperature.
Decrease - Push this switch in order to decrease the temperature of the air that is coming out of the air outlets or push this switch in order to decrease the preset temperature.

Display (5) - This display shows the current control settings of the heating and air conditioning control.
Air outlet Indicator - This display indicates the selected air outlets.
Preset Temperature Display - This display indicates the temperature of the air that is coming out of the air outlets.
Fan Speed Indicator - This display indicates the volume of air flow in six steps.
Fan Speed Switch (6) - This switch controls the volume of the flow of air in six steps. Each step is displayed by the fan speed indicator in display (5) .
Increase - Push this switch in order to increase the fan speed.
Decrease - Push this switch in order to decrease the fan speed.

Air Outlet Selection Switch (7) - This switch selects the desired air outlet or air outlets.
Air outlet (A) - This selection directs the air flow out of air outlet (A) .
Air outlets (A) and (B) - This selection directs the air flow out of air outlet (A) and air outlet (B) .
Air outlet (B) - This selection directs the air flow out of air outlet (B) .
Air outlets (B) and (C) - This selection directs air flow out of air outlet (B) and air outlet (C) .
Air outlet (C) - This selection directs air flow out of air outlet (C) . Air Inlet Selection Switches (8) - These switches select the position of the air inlet.
Recirculate - When this position is selected, the air inlet is closed. The air will recirculate inside the cab.
Fresh Air - When this position is selected, the air inlet is open. Fresh air will circulate into the cab. Note: If the heating and air conditioning system is in the automatic mode at engine start-up and the temperature inside the cab is too warm or too cool, the door for fresh air ventilation may automatically close for a few minutes. This will help to bring the air temperature to the preset temperature more quickly.

To fully take advantage of the automatic function of the heating and air conditioning system, always keep the temperature sensor clean. Do not put objects that will affect the sensor function near the temperature sensor.In cool weather, operate the compressor weekly in order to prevent leakage of the refrigerant gas. This will also help to maintain the compressor in optimum working order.Consult your Caterpillar dealer for periodic maintenance of the heating and air conditioning system.
