To measure the inlet manifold air temperature, use the 4C-6500 Digital Thermometer. Remove the plug from the top of the aftercooler. Insert a temperature probe in place of the plug. Measure the temperature when the engine is operating at full load.Table 2 lists information on the operating temperatures and the shutdown temperatures for inlet manifold air temperature. The temperatures are associated with different water temperature regulators for separate circuit aftercoolers. The temperatures are also associated with different types of gas engines.
