Installation Procedure
Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Verachtert parts for replacement.
Apply 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound to all of the O-ring seals during installation.

Install the two O-ring seals to two couplings (10). Place the couplings into position on swivel (2). Install the eight bolts and the washers that secure the couplings to the swivel.

Place lock (9) into position on the swivel. Install the six bolts and the washers that secure the lock.

Place ring (7) into position on swivel (2). Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the six bolts that secure the ring to the swivel. Install the six bolts and the washers.
Install the seal and the O-ring seal to each adapter (8). Install the two adapters to the swivel.

Attach appropriate nylon lifting slings and a hoist to swivel (2). Place the swivel into position in the upper housing. The weight of the swivel is 43 kg (95 lb).

(O) Coupling for opening the jaws (B) Coupling for closing the jawsNote: Ensure that the orientation of the swivel is correct. The O stamping on the swivel should connect to the circuit that opens the jaws. The B stamping on the swivel must connect to the circuit that closes the jaws.
Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to six bolts (6) before assembly. Install the six bolts and the washers that secure ring (7) to the upper housing.

Install two coupling (4) into the upper housing. Repeat this step for the remaining coupling.
Connect two lines (1) to swivel (2) .
Apply 9S-3263 Thread Lock Compound to the bolts before assembly. Install two bolts (3) and the washers into the coupling assembly. Repeat this step for the remaining coupling.

Connect two hose assemblies (5) that are located beneath the swivel.Note: The hydraulic system must be purged of air before the work tool can be returned to service. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Air - Purge".
