start by: a) remove vibration damper and pulley 1. Remove the front seal with tool group (A).2. If the crankshaft has a wear sleeve, inspect it for wear and remove if worn with a sharp chisel and hammer.
Do not cause damage to the surface of crankshaft with the chisel when removing the wear sleeve.
Install Crankshaft Front Seal And Wear Sleeve
1. If wear sleeve has been removed or if crankshaft is worn, install a new wear sleeve with tooling (B).2. Put clean engine oil on the lip of seal and on outside diameter of the crankshaft.3. Put 7F2770 Cement on the outside diameter of the seal. 4. Install seal guide if the crankshaft has a wear sleeve. Install seal on the crankshaft with lip of seal toward the oil being sealed.
TYPICAL EXAMPLE5. Put the seal installer ring (1) and pusher plate (2) in position on crankshaft.6. Install bolt (3) and washer (4).7. Tighten bolt (3) until the pusher plate (2) makes contact with the end of the crankshaft.8. Remove tooling (A).end by: a) install vibration damper and pulley
