Remove the alternator from the mounting bracket.6. Use a suitable puller in order to remove the pulley from the alternator.Install Alternator
1. Install the drive pulley to the alternator. Tighten the nut holding the pulley to the alternator to a torque of 102 7 N m (75 5 lb ft).2. Position the alternator to the mounting bracket. Install bolt (6), the nut and washer in order to secure the alternator to the bracket.3. Install V-belts (5) to the alternator pulley. Install bolt (3) and washer in order to hold the alternator to bracket (4).4. Adjust the V-belt tension. Tighten the fan V-belts until they deflect 12 mm (1.2 in.) for new V-belts, or 5/8 16 mm ( in.) for old V-belts under the application of a 13 Kg (25 lb) force half way between the pulleys.6. A Burroughs Gauge No. BT-33-72-4-15 can also be used to make the fan V-belt adjustment. Make an adjustment to the V-belt farthest from the engine. The gauge reading for a new V-belt must be 120 5 and for a V-belt with a minimum of 30 minutes of operation time 90 10. 7. Connect wire assemblies (7), (8) and (9) to the alternator. Install the boot over the terminal of wire assembly (9). 8. Close door (2). Install two bolts (1) and washers in order to secure the door shut.
