Introduction
The adjustment of the swing pump solenoid valve influences the "swing aggresiveness". The swing pump solenoid valve can be adjusted with the monitor.The "swing aggressiveness" can be adjusted to the preference of the operator.Machine Preparation
Clear all personnel from the machine and from the area around the machine.
Start the engine.

Engine speed dial
Set the engine speed dial at "10".
Lower the left console.
Position the machine on level ground. Check the visibility and adjust the mirrors for the best vision close to the machine.
Fully depress the service brake pedal until the service brake pedal locks mechanically.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 46 to 80° C (115 to 176° F).
Lower the stabilizers and the blade tip.

Power mode control button located on the soft panel switch
Push down on the power mode control button in order to activate power mode. Note: The indicator light will be illuminated when power mode is activated.

Automatic Engine Speed Control (AESC) as displayed on the programmable function key in the monitor.
Disable the automatic engine speed control through the monitor by pressing the programmable button.

Joystick (front switch)
Disable the hydraulic modulation control, if equipped. Press the front switch on the right joystick in order to deactivate hydraulic modulation.
The air conditioning should be turned off for the following test.
Fully extend the stub boom cylinder and position the upper surface of the fore boom parallel to the ground, if equipped. Note: Step 13 is for machines that are equipped with a VA boom. Disregard Step 13 for all other applications.
Position the stick cylinder with a perpendicular angle to the ground.
Fully extend the bucket cylinder. Adjustment Procedure
Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.Sudden movement of the machine can cause injury to persons on or near the machine.To prevent injury or death, make sure that the area around the machine is clear of personnel and obstructions before operating the machine.
Use the monitor in the cab in order to adjust the "Swing Aggressiveness".

The "Home" screen of the monitor is displayed when the key switch for the machine is turned to the ON position. Press the "Menu" key to display the main menu options.

Use the arrows to select the "Performance" mode from the "Main Menu". Press the "OK" key.

Use the arrows to select the "Adjustments" mode from the "Performance" menu. Press the "OK" key.

Use the arrows to select the "Swing Aggressiveness" mode from the "Adjustments" menu. Press the "OK" key.
Change the value with the arrow buttons. The range of possible values is "-5" to "+5". Press" OK" when done. Note: Decreasing the value will make the swing movement smoother. Increasing the value will make the swing movement more aggressive.
Test the swing movement by activating the swing function.
Repeat Step 1.d through Step 2 until the preference of the operator has been reached.
