Ensure that the steering system is in front steering mode. Indicator light (8) next to the switch should be on. If the steering system is not in front steering mode, push front steering switch (9) to activate.Note: Front steering mode centers the rear tracks.
Use propel lever (1) to center the front tracks.

Press and hold all leg raise switch (11) until service height indicator light (10) is illuminated.

Ensure that the high-pressure water system is deactivated. The indicator light next to the switch should be off. If the high-pressure water system is operating, push high-pressure water switch (12) to deactivate.

Ensure that the engine is operating in low idle. The high idle indicator light should be off. If this indicator is illuminated, press throttle control switch (13) to operate the engine in low idle.

Move engine start switch (14) to the OFF position.

Remove 12 bolts and washers (15). Remove cover (16) from ventilation fan.

Place a piece of reflective tape (17) from Tool (A) on the end of one of the fan blades.

Remove two bolts (20) and washers. Remove angle (19) to allow Tool (A2) to be routed to Tool (A1) once cover (16) is reinstalled.
Install Tool (A2) and Tool (A3) to the side of fan housing (18). Aim Tool (A2) at the reflective tape on the fan blade.Note: Tool (A2) must be clear of the fan blades.
Install cover (16) and secure with 12 bolts and washers (15).Test Procedure

Move engine start switch (14) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.

Operate the engine at low idle for a few minutes. Use throttle control switch (13) to operate the engine in high idle.

Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature on operator display (21). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 38 °C (100 °F).
Measure the speed of the ventilation fan by using Tool (A). The ventilation fan speed should be greater than 3000 rpm.Note: Debris in the ventilation hoses will be ejected from the ventilation fan at high speed. Wear proper safety gear with full eye protection when working near the operating ventilation fan.

The ventilation fan is not adjustable. If the maximum ventilation fan speed cannot be set within specification, check ventilation fan solenoid (22) for proper operation. Replace the solenoid valve, if necessary.

Remove 12 bolts and washers (15). Remove cover (16) from ventilation fan.
Remove the tooling from the fan housing.

Install angle (19). Secure with two bolts and washers (20).
Install cover (16) and secure with 12 bolts and washers (15).
