1. Remove drain plugs from each side and allow oil to drain.2. Clean and install drain plugs. 3. Remove fill plugs on each side and add oil to level of fill plug openings. See REFILL CAPACITIES. 4. Clean and install both fill plugs.(37)Steering Clutches
Check free travel. Correct free travel is 2 inches (51 mm). Adjust when free travel is 1.25 inches (32 mm).Adjustment
1. Remove guard and covers. 2. Loosen locknut. 3. Tighten adjusting nut to obtain .31 inch (7.9 mm). Tighten locknut. 4. Repeat procedure for remaining steering clutch. Install covers and guards.(38)Winch Breather
Remove and discard breather. Install a new breather.(39)Winch Oil Sump
Hot oil or components can cause personal injury if they contact skin. Use caution when draining oil or changing filters.
1. Remove fill plug. 2. Remove drain plug and allow oil to drain.3. Clean and install drain plug. 4. Fill compartment until oil is visible in the sight gauge. Clean and install fill plug. See REFILL CAPACITIES.5. Start engine and operate at low idle. Check oil level with engine running at low idle. Oil level must be visible in sight gauge.(40)Cable Control Fair-Lead Sheave Lower Bearings
1. Remove plugs and install fittings.2. Lubricate 2 fittings.3. Remove fittings and install plugs.(41)Cable Control
Remove breather. Wash in clean nonflammable solvent. Lightly oil element and install breather.
