To prevent possible personal injury, make sure all the pressure from the hydraulic system is released before any lines are disconnected.
1. Remove bolt (2) and disconnect linkage (1).2. Remove lines (5) and (6) from the selector valve.3. Remove bolts (4) to remove cushion hitch selector valve (3). The following steps are for the installation of the cushion hitch selector valve.4. Put cushion hitch selector valve (3) in position with bolts (4).5. Connect lines (5) and (6).6. Connect linkage (1) and install bolt (2).Disassemble Cushion Hitch Selector Valve
Start By:a. remove cushion hitch selector valve 1. Remove bolts (1) and (2) cover (3) and the piston from the valve. 2. Remove bolts (4) and housing (5) from the valve. Remove the cap from the spring retainer. 3. Remove bolt (socket head) (7), retainer (8) and the spring from the valve spool. Remove O-ring seal (6) from the valve body. 4. Remove plug (9) from the end of the valve. Remove cover (10) from the side of the valve. 5. Remove bolt (11) from the lever and key (12) from the shaft. 6. Put the selector valve in a vise. Use a soft hammer to push shaft (14) and bearing (13) out of the valve body. Remove lever (15) from the valve body after shaft (14) is removed. 7. Use tooling (A) to remove seal (16) and bearing (17) from the valve body. 8. Remove plug assemblies (detents) (18) and valve spool (19) from the valve body.Assemble Cushion Hitch Selector Valve
Put clean oil on all valve parts before assembly. 1. Be sure the O-ring seals are in place on both plug assemblies (detents) (3). Install valve spool (1) in the selector valve body until center groove (X) in the valve spool is in alignment with the holes for plug assemblies (detents) (3). Install plug assemblies (detents) (3) in the selector valve body to hold the valve spool in position. Make sure the clearance between the valve body and the stem is not less than 0.0152 mm (.00059 in) or more than 0.0203 mm (.00079 in). 2. Use tooling (A) to install bearing (5) in the selector valve body until the bearing is even with the inside of the valve body. Push on the side of the bearing that has the part numbers.3. Use tooling (A) to install seal (4) in the valve body with the lip in. 4. Install key (6) in shaft (9). Install lever (7) in the valve body. Make sure the lever is engaged in the valve spool. Slide shaft (9) into the valve body with key (6) in alignment with the groove (key slot) in lever (7). Install bearing (8) on the shaft. Lightly hit the bearing with a hammer to push the shaft and bearing into the valve body until bearing (8) is even with the outside of the valve body. 5. Install bolt (10) in the lever and key (11) in the shaft. 6. Be sure the O-ring seals are in place on plug (12)
